Forum Conference considers routes around the Forth, both natural and man made

The Forth Estuary Forum will hold its 22nd annual conference on Thursday 19th November 2015 at the Inchyra Grange Hotel, Grange Road, Falkirk FK2 0YB.  Open to all, this year’s conference theme is ‘Routes of the Forth’.

The meeting will be addressed by local and national speakers, and will cover railways around the Forth, bird migration routes, long distance paths, the new North Berwick to Anstruther ferry, and Fife harbours.

Forum Manager, Chris Cutts said “Following on from many new initiatives to encourage people to get out and enjoy the landscape e.g. the John Muir Way, this conference was planned to inform people about the various ways they can enjoy accessing the Forth, whether through long distance paths, ferries or harbours”.

Further presentations will highlight topical issues such as Underground Coal Gasification and developments in Scottish marine planning. There will also be  a quick-fire, ‘soapbox’ session where speakers will have five minutes to update delegates on current projects.
