The Forth Estuary Forum has pleasure in inviting you to a free evening workshop on ‘Fisheries Management and the National
Marine Plan’.
The evening will start with a buffet followed by a welcome and introduction from Dr. Christopher Cutts, Forum Manager.
Presentations will follow from:
Iain Maddox, Chairman, North and East Coast Region, Inshore Fisheries Group;
David Donnan, Policy & Advice Manager, Sea Fisheries & Invasive Non-native Species, Scottish Natural Heritage;
Andrew Whiston, Chairperson, St Andrews Inshore Fishermen’s
Association, marine biologist and part-time creel fisherman .
which will include inter alia:
What the fishing industry is doing to deliver the aims and objectives of the National Marine Plan;
Actions taken by the Fisheries Management Plan;
Proactively managing fisheries for sustainable food production.
Following the presentations, there will be an interactive Q&A with the invited speakers and other invited experts. The proceedings will be written up and published on the Forum website and circulated to attendees.
