Rosyth-Zeebrugge freight route benefits from investment

DFDS Seaways and FORUM MEMBER Forth Ports will invest over EUR 6 million in the future of the Rosyth-Zeebrugge freight route, following a meeting with the First Minister of Scotland to discuss the investment plan. This includes new environmental technology, a fuel optimisation programme and infrastructure adjustments at the terminal in Scotland. The importance to Scotland of the route, the only ro-ro freight route connecting Scotland to the Continent, has been highlighted by the First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon who commented “Along with all parties we are committed to work together to look at new ways of increasing and improving its service for years to come.”.
