Sound of progress

One new sound of the shore has been added at Rosyth. HMS Queen Elizabeth’s huge diesel generators have been powered up for the first time. The first of the aircraft carrier’s four generators was officially started by defence procurement minister Philip Dunne. The move brings the 65,000-tonne future flagship of the Royal Navy closer to becoming an operational warship. More details can be found on the Aircraft Carrier Alliance news page.
